Renowned Indian director and film maker, Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter on May 12 to give his own opinion on Asim Azhar's critically acclaimed film, 'Cake.' Kashyap most well known for his unconventional films such as 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and 'Dev D' stated that he thought the movie was a powerful one.

The filmmaker wrote on Twitter, "Asim Abbasi’s “Cake” is such a powerful film .. so happy that I am in a country and city that it was playing on screen. Went to see it because Aarti Bajaj edited it and read about it in Sight and Sound..but wow Asim Abbasi, @aaminasheikh @SanamSaeed_FP @adnanmalik .. just every1"

Director Asim Azhar also replied with a thankyou!

Kashyap also acknowledged the acting chops of Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik.

The film which did an over the weekend business of 30 million rupees in Pakistan, also wont the Best Director award at the UK Asian Film Festival.
