KARACHI – Sindh Police has collaborated with the National Police Foundation (NPF) to provide interest-free electric motorcycles and affordable plots to employees up to the rank of Inspector.
The announcement was made at a gathering held at the Police Headquarters Garden South. It was attended by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IG Karachi, zonal DIGs, district SSPs, as well as officers, personnel, and the NPF Managing Director Irfan Zaman.
Speaking on the occasion, Zaman said the purpose of the NPF is the welfare of the police. The Foundation will cover the first down payment for plots for the personnel, and it will contribute Rs50,000 for the first 2,000 plots in the police housing society.
He revealed that the idea of providing interest-free electric motorbikes in installments was a brainchild of the IG Sindh.
At the event, the IG Sindh praised the foundation’s efforts for the welfare of Sindh Police, stating that providing services at half the market price is an excellent initiative.
He commended the Rs50,000 payment for plot booking being made by the NPF. IG Sindh expressed his desire for every police officer to have their own home and assured that they would also provide interest-free motorcycles to Sindh Police.
He further stated that Rs5 billion have been allocated for the police health insurance scheme, and as soon as the family tree from NADRA is received, work will begin on it.
The scheme will allow police personnel from any district in Sindh to receive treatment at the best and most reputable hospitals in Karachi.
