After 56 years, Jackie Chan finally wins an Oscar

Jackie Chan has finally earned himself an Oscar, after being in the entertainment industry for over 56 years, according to sources.

Chan’s father used to tell him all the time that even though he is celebrated all over the world, he has never won an Oscar, sources further added.

Chan further added as a message to his dad,”Dad, I only make comedy action movies.”

With more than 200 films under his belt spanning a 56 year career, he finally received his gold statuette as one of the four recipients of this years ‘Governors Awards’, reportedly.

“I want to thank all my fans around the world because you’re the reason I continue to make movies, jumping through windows, kicking and punching [and] breaking my bones,” Chan said before receiving a standing ovation. “Thank you so much!”

The Governors Awards is considered a must for actors and filmmakers hoping for an Oscar nomination, reportedly.
