DUBAI – New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 54 runs and secured their place in the semi-final of the Women’s T20 World Cup.
In the match played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, chasing a target of 111, the Pakistan women’s team collapsed for 56 runs in 11.4 overs. Fatima Sana scored 21 runs, and Muneeba Ali made 15, while no other Pakistani batter reached double figures.
New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first, scoring 110 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Suzie Bates was the top scorer with 28 runs.
For Pakistan, Nashra Sundhu took three wickets, while Omaima Sohail, Nida Dar, and Sadia Iqbal claimed one wicket each.
