Saudi Arabia wants to invest heavily in Pakistan, Crown Prince MBS tells Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has congratulated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and in-waiting prime minister Imran Khan on his election triumph, said a statement issued by the party on Tuesday.

The crown prince told the incoming premier that the kingdom sought to invest heavily in Pakistan in order to improve the bilateral trade ties. The Saudi dignitary also shed light on the massive trade opportunities in Pakistan during the telephonic conversation.

On the other hand, Imran Khan appreciated Crown Prince Mohammad for launching an effective anti-corruption drive in the country.

“Just and productive governance only possible with end to corruption,” he was quoted as saying during the telephonic conversation. “We will benefit from Saudi crown prince’s experience,” Khan added.

Imran Khan also said that bilateral relation in all domains would be further improved.

On Monday, Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz telephoned Imran Khan and congratulated him on the election victory and assured that the country would always be at the forefront to help Pakistan.
