A group calling itself the ‘Pashtun Cyber Army’ hacked the official website of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Thursday.
The hackers defaced kp.gov.pk with a message criticising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, whose party governs KP.
“Shame on KPK people who elected a party run from Bani Gala,” reads the text.
The hackers attacked the government for the “illegal occupation of Fata, Pashtunistan and Balochistan.”
As a footnote, the hackers have asked that the “credit” for the hacking should be given to them instead of Indian intelligence agency RAW.
