LAHORE (Staff Report) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that primary education system is being strengthened by ensuring hundred percent enrollment in the province.
Chairing a meeting on the promotion of quality education in Lahore, he said high schools for girls would be set up in all union councils and existing middle schools at the union council level would be upgraded into high schools.
The CM said the government is also implementing a comprehensive program of e-learning.
Earlier the same day, American Consul General Zachary Harkenrider called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to discuss matters of mutual interest, such as Pak-America relations and the promotion of cooperation in different sectors.
The Chief Minister said the government is striving to make Pakistan a peaceful, secure, developed and prosperous country.
The US Consul General said that America attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan.
