Public requested to avoid traveling through Lahore-Islamabad-Peshawar motoways

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Motorway Police have advised the public to avoid traveling from Lahore to Islamabad and Peshawar by motoways, M-1 and M-2, on Sunday (today) in view of expected rush.

A motorway police spokesman said an estimated 25,000 vehicles will simultaneously enter Lahore-Islamabad Motorway at the end of Tableeghi Ijtimaa at Raiwind, which will create difficulties for the travelers.

The spokesman said heavy transport will not be allowed to enter the motorway for Islamabad from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
