Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has broken Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s record for the most maiden overs in T20 cricket.
Playing for the Antigua and Barbuda Hawksbills in the Caribbean T20 League, Mohammad Amir surpassed Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s record of 24 maiden overs. Amir now holds the third position globally with 25 maiden overs.
The record for the most maiden overs is currently held by Sunil Narine with 30, while Shakib Al Hasan is second with 26 maiden overs.
At 32 years old, Mohammad Amir continues to deliver exceptional performances in domestic T20 formats. He has taken 347 wickets in 302 matches, and in the ongoing Caribbean T20 League, he has claimed five wickets in seven matches.
