Congress Promises To Restore Special Status Of Kashmir

India’s opposition party Congress, promising to restore Kashmir’s lost rights, stated that under Modi’s rule, Kashmir has become a graveyard of dreams.

According to Indian media, Congress leader Pawan Khera, speaking on Kashmir’s policy, said that the oppressed and helpless Kashmiris have no one to hear their plight.

He expressed these views during the launch of the election campaign for the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir next week.

The Congress leader added that in 2019, India revoked Kashmir’s special status and took complete control.

Pawan Khera further said that occupied Kashmir has become a state whose rights were stripped away, turning it into a centrally administered territory.

He also said that since the abrogation of Article 370, Modi has imposed oppressive politics on occupied Kashmir. Restoring Kashmir’s freedom is crucial.

Congress leader Pawan Khera promised that they would ensure the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood.
