Animal used in suicide attack on Shuja Khanzada: Investigators

LAHORE (Staff Report) – An animal could have been used in suicide attack on Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada, the officials investigating into the attack have revealed.

The suicide attack claimed 20 lives including Shuja Khanzada on Sunday.

According to initial forensic report, few body parts of an animal have also been found among the evidences collected from crime scene. The presence of animal flesh is an indication that possibly an animal was used to transport explosives to the target, the investigators believe.

The forensic experts, on the other hand, have not succeeded to identify the suicide bomber so far.

Meanwhile a joint investigation team is also looking into different dimensions of the attack. The JIT will also decide whether any banned outfit was behind attack on Khanzada or not.

Earlier Jamaat-ul-Ahrar had claimed responsibility to the attack.
