PUNE – Virat Kohli starred as India secured their four wins from four at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, with the number three reaching his century with the winning runs to wrap up a convincing seven wicket win.
Kohli held the chase together after a strong start from the India openers, finishing 103* from 97 balls and reaching his hundred with a six to wrap up the win.
Earlier, Bangladesh have set a target of 257 runs for India.
Litton Das (61) and Tanzid Tamim (51) took a strong start for their side. After their dismissal, the Tigers lost two quick wickets for skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy.
Mushfiqur Rahim smashed 38 while Mahmudullah Riyad from tail order played a much-needed innings of 48 runs to boost the total.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss opt to bat first.
