Amidst ‘Padmavati’ controversies Deepika Padukone exits Global Entrepreneurship Summit

NEW DELHI – Sources reveal that Deepika Padukone has withdrawn from Global Entrepreneurship Summit (that would also have Ivanka Trump and Indian PM Narendra Modi attending the inaugural session on November 28, 2017). Deepika was going to speak at a session on ‘Hollywood to Nollywood (Nigerian film industry) to Bollywood: The Path to Moviemaking’  at the summit on November 29, 2017.

A government official of Telegana has confirmed Deepika’s exit. However the reason is unknown.

The statement of her exit comes amidst the delayed release of her movie ‘Padmavati’ and the raging controversies related to it.

With US and India as co-hosts of the summit, over 1500 personnel, including entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem supporters from all over will be attending from all over the world.
