DHAKA – Pakistan medium-pacer Hasan Ali added another feather to his cap as he took five wickets in a T20 match in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Monday.
The 23-year-old placed second bowler in the T20 cricket history who got five wickets in just one match.
The pacer achieved the feat while representing the Comilla Victorians, bamboozled the batting line of the Dhaka Dynamites. The number one ODI bowler showcased his skill at Dhaka with impressive bowling figures of 5 for 20, as Dynamites crumble to 128 in 19 overs.
Hasan crushed the Dynmanites top order claiming the wickets of Evin Lewis and Mehedi Maruf for 7 and 0, respectively. The Gujranwala speedster then returned with a bang in the later part of the inning as he crushed the Dynamites tail picking up Mosaddek Hussain, Mohammad Saddam and Abu Hider on 1,1 and 0, respectively, to complete his five-wicket haul.
Interestingly, Bangladesh’s fast bowler Rubel Hossain, was the first to achieve the feat also at BPL, in 2010.
Earlier, the fast-bowling sensation has stormed into the headlines with a remarkable feat, becoming the quickest Pakistani to 50 wickets. He achieved the landmark in 24 matches equaling the great Australian pacer Dennis Lillee’s record.
