LAHORE – Mohsin Abbas Haider’s wife has accused the singer-turned actor of cheating on her and subjecting her to physical torture while announcing a legal action against him.
In a detailed social media post, Fatema Sohail alleged that her husband physically abused her and is having an extra-marital affair.
She also put pictures of her bruised face and of the FIR she has registered with Lahore’s DHA-C Police against her husband.
In the post, Fatema alleged that Mohsin Abbas Haider was with another model while she gave birth to their son in May, 2019.
“On 26th Nov 2018, I caught my husband cheating. When I confronted him, instead of being embarrassed he started Beating me. I was pregnant at that time,” said Sohail.
Fatema said she had to go to a doctor to make sure the baby is okay.
The couple, who married in 2015, were blessed with a daughter in 2017, but shortly lost her after 7 weeks of her birth. Earlier this year, they were blessed with a baby boy, Haider Abbas Mohsin.
Branding him as a ‘neglectful’ parent, Fatema said she then decided to try and make the relationship work for the sake of the child, although she pointed out there may have been some ‘Societal pressure’ involved as well.

Fatema wrote in her post that she is “speaking about” the alleged abuse following a violent incident that took place last Wednesday.
“On 17th July, I went to Mohsin’s home and asked him to take our son’s responsibility where he started beating me again! He refused to do anything for his son!”
“Now I’ve had enough… I had enough of verbal & physical abuse. I had enough of divorce threats.”

Following her announcement to take legal course against her husband, several celebrities took to the social media to condemn domestic violence and Mohsin’s anger issues.
Mohsin, who starred in Na Maloom Afrad and Load Wedding, says he will respond to the accusations with proofs in a press conference later.
Since 2013, he is a DJ in the Dunya News talk show Mazaaq Raat.
