KARACHI – Police apprehended 39 suspects in the wee hours of Wednesday from Karachi and Lahore during search operation in different areas.
Karachi police arrested 35 suspects, of which six were detained during operation near Northern Bypass, while 29 others were held from different areas including PIB, Manghopir, Madina Colony, Zaman Town, Tipu Sultan, Kemari, Gulberg and North Nazimabad.
The suspect include robbers, drug peddlers, members of lock-breaker group, extortionist and others were detained in the operation.
Similarly, police conducted a search operation in different areas of Lahore and took four persons into custody on suspicion after they failed to provide document regarding their identity.
Last week, Karachi police held two suspects from Sukhhan and recovered weapons, motorcycle, mobile phones, and contraband from the arrested suspects.
