Pakistan’s star cricketer and former captain Babar Azam is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
Babar left for Saudi Arabia after the Pakistan Super League season 9 concluded in Pakistan. Taking to Instagram, Babar shared pictures from his visit to the holy city of Madina. In one of the videos he shared on Instagram, Babar can be seen doing ablution in front of the Green Dome at Prophet’s Mosque.
“At the doorsteps of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) – The Orphan who adopted the world,” the cricketer wrote in the caption.
In another post he wrote, “Feeling blessed and spiritually uplifted after performing Umrah. A moment of reflection and peace. Grateful for this journey and praying for the well-being and peace of the entire humanity.”
Muslims across the globe are cherishing the Holy month of Ramadan these days and many are thronging to Makkah and Madina to perform Umrah and make the most of the blessed month.
Several cricketers including, Naseem Shah and Imamul Haq, are in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Babar reposted Imam’s picture standing in front of the Holy Kaaba wearing an ehraam — clothing to perform the pilgrimage.
In the next story, Babar, his brother and Imam were seen in ehraams before they performed Umrah.
