Huawei launches Y7 Prime (2019) in Pakistan

LAHORE — Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has expanded its Y Series of smartphones with the launch of all new Huawei Y7 Prime 2019.

The Y7 Pro (2019) is visually very similar to its sibling Y9 (2019), but with very different internals.

The smartphone features a 6.26-inch IPS HD+ display with a dewdrop notch on top, resolution of 720 x 1520 and aspect ratio of 19:9.

The SoC on Y7 Pro (2019) is Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, Adreno 506 GPU paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The dual camera on the back has a 13 MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a 2 MP depth sensor. The selfie shooter, tucked in the notch does 16 MP stills.

The battery capacity is 4,000 mAh and will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.2 on top.

The Shenzhen-based company has a fingerprint scanner on the back along with some basic facial unlock as an alternative to the old-school patterns, PINs, and passwords.

The smartphone will be available from February, 2 in Pakistan and priced at Rs28,499; available in three colours — Aurora Blue, Midnight Black and Coral Red.

Tech-savvy buffs can pre-order their smartphones with a down payment of Rs5,000 PKR. The Pre-order time is from 24th Jan – 1st Feb 2019 and users will receive anesthetic wireless portable speaker by Miniso as a gift.
