PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Shah Farman admitted on Tuesday that awarding a party ticket to his brother in the PK-71 by-polls was a wrong decision on his part.
Days after losing the seat, Farman expressed that in the future he will not push for any member of his family to be awarded a party ticket.
‘As an ideological member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, I am against dynastic politics,’ said the PTI leader and vowed that he will discourage the introduction of such practices within the party in the future.
Farman’s brother, Zulfiqar had contested the by-polls on PTI’s ticket but lost to ANP’s Salahuddin who bagged 11,416 votes.
Zulfiqar Khan was able to secure 10,004 votes in the second phase of bye-polls held on October 21st.
