Genocide in Syria: Pakistani celebrities speak up

LAHORE – The series of of air strikes and mass rebellion in Eastern Ghouta is another assualt in Syria’s civil war despite UN’s demand for a ceasefire.

The bombing against the enclave on the edge of Damascus launched by President Basha al-Assad’s forces has massacred more than 500 people.

Many celebrities, including our local Pakistani artists, have come forward demanding for the genocide to cease. Names including Mahira Khan, Haroon Shahid, Mawra Hocane, Armeena Rana Khan, Shahid Afridi, and many others have expressed deep concern addressing the brutal killings and the after effects of the genocide in Syria, condemning the act and demanding to put a stop to it.
