Featherless penguin gets special wetsuit

ORLANDO, Florida – A penguin suffering from feather-loss has been given a special wetsuit to help keep it warm.

SeaWorld Orlando staff created the wetsuit for the female Adelie penguin, known as Wonder Twin, to help her continue to enjoy her habitat in the “Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin” exhibit, the UPI reported..

The loss of her insulating feathers made it difficult for Wonder Twin to regulate her temperature in the frigid, Arctic-style exhibit. SeaWorld’s team crafted the custom-made wetsuit to perform the same function as her missing feathers and allow her to continue to live with her fellow penguins.
