JEDDAH – King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has recorded 41.2 million passengers for 2018 – the highest number of travelers in its history, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Monday.
This is an increase of 20 percent over 2017, which reached 34 million passengers, Management announced.
According to the statistical report for 2018, the total number of trips reached 340,333.
The total number of passengers through Hajj and Umrah terminal complex for the same year was 7.3 million passengers transported through 48,241 trips, SPA added.
King Abdulaziz International Airport is the busiest airport of Saudi Arabia and the third-largest airport in the kingdom. The airport is known for its Hajj terminal, which is specially built for Muslim pilgrims going to Makkah.
