ICJ comes to starving Palestinians rescue

Amid the Israeli occupation forces preparing for a ground offensive in Rafah despite a strong opposition to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s war plans, judges at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) unanimously ordered Israel to take all the necessary and effective action to ensure basic food supplies to the Palestinian population in Gaza without delay.

According to the latest media reports, the court said that Palestinians in Gaza are facing worsening conditions of life and famine and starvation are spreading.

As Israel continues indiscriminate attacks on the occupied Palestinian territories, at least 32,552 Palestinians have been killed and 74,980 injured in the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip since Oct 7.

According to the Palestinian enclave’s health ministry, there have been 62 Palestinians killed and 91 injured in the past 24 hours.
