Punjab government announces purchase price of sugarcane

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Punjab government announced purchase price of sugarcane. Sugar mills will buy sugarcane with price of 180 rupees per 40kg from farmers.

However, government will receives three rupees over per kilogram. Notification has issued.

Department of Food this year issue notification for purchasing price of 180 rupees to buy sugarcane for sugar crushing season and fixes the sugarcane setts a 75rs per metric ton.

As per notification sugar mills will pay for transportation to farmers in case of bringing sugarcane setts  at least from Forty kilometers.

In case of clash of prices sugar mills and sugarcane framers will share burden equally.
