Infant dies in teargas shelling in Rawalpindi, parents blame Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD – An Infant boy died on Friday after police in Rawalpindi started teargas shelling on opposition protesters, his father said.

Speaking to Samaa TV, father of the deceased child said his son died due to teargas shelling.

“Police fired teargas shells when I was returning from prayers. As an adult, it was difficult even for me to breathe at that time,” he said.

“I rushed my baby to hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival,” he said.

Awami Muslim League head Sheikh Rashid said that he was sorry to hear about the death of infant.

“An FIR should be lodged against the government for the infant’s death,’ his father said adding that Sheikh Rahid and Imran Khan were responsible for his son’s death. “They killed me son for their greed of coming to power.”
