NEW YORK (Web Desk/Agencies) – Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has stripped off for the cover of Vogue Brazil’s 40th Anniversary issue to celebrate her 20 years in the fashion industry.
The 34-year-old beauty – who took on her first modelling job when she was 14 – is pictured completely nude on a Greek statue-inspired plinth while hunching over to protect her modesty.
The supermodel posted the cover – which was captured by world renowned photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin – to her Instagram account and thanked her colleagues for their work on the shoot.
She wrote: “My 20-year career celebration cover @voguebrasil. Thanks to everyone who is part of this special edition.”
Earlier this month the blonde beauty made her final runway appearance after confirming she was retiring from the catwalk.
Gisele walked her last show for Colcci, a brand she has been collaborating with since she started out in the industry, at Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
She also took to her Instagram account to share behind the scenes photos from the show and confessed she was “grateful” for her 20 year career alongside a throwback photo of her 14-year-old self.
She wrote: “I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey. Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business. #firstrunway #14yearsold (sic)”
Gisele previously revealed she had decided to end her runway career out of “respect” for her body.
She said: “Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop.
“I respect my body, it’s a privilege to be able to stop.”
