LAHORE (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced significant reduction in the prices of POL products here on Monday.
According to a statement, petrol prices are being reduced by 8.48 rupee a litre from tomorrow (Tuesday).
Prices of High Speed Diesel have been lowered by 4.67 rupee a litre and that of Light Diesel Oil by 1.97 rupee a litre. Prices of Hi octane have been reduced by 2.98 rupee a litre while recommendation of OGRA for increase of 1.66 rupee a litre in the price of kerosene oil has been rejected.
Announced the reduction in prices, the Prime Minister said the Government has passed on reduction in oil prices in the international market to people of Pakistan. The Prime Minister said it is his desire to lessen burden of taxes on people.
