ISLAMABAD – A local court in Islamabad on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for ousted premier and Imran Khan in the case regarding his controversial remarks against a female judge.
Reports in local media claimed that non available arrest warrants were also issued against PTI chief who is facing nearly hundred cases since being removed from power in no vote confidence last year.
Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman announced the reserved verdict, and ordered the officials to produce Imran Khan before the court on April 18.
On the other hand, the lawyer of PTI chief urged the court to restore his bailable warrant citing attack threats to his client. He further maintained that Islamabad High Court has restored his bailable warrant in other cases. Judge later adjourned the hearing.
