ISLAMABAD – Hussain Nawaz was summoned to appear before JIT for the second time on Tuesday (May 30, 2017) at 11: AM, and threatened with ‘penal consequences’ in case of non-compliance, a notification letter No. JIT/PN/Sum./01/12/17/23 said here on Monday.
The letter said: “Today, you appeared before JIT the without any record and also refused to answer any of the questions put forth by the JIT on the pretext that the matter is subjudice as you have field a petition before the apex Court and requested for another date.”
The letter further said: “Despite paucity of time and your non-cooperation during the proceedings, yet in the in the interest of justice, you are hereby, once again to called upon to appear before the JIT on Tuesday, the May 30, 2017 at 11:00 hours, at the office of the JIT, Federal Judicial Academy, Service Road South, Sector H-8/4, Islamabad, along with all relevant record/documents/material for recording of statement/examination by the JIT as specified in the previous summon dated May 25, 2017.”
“You are advised that failure to comply with this summon may entail penal consequences as per relevant laws,” the letter concluded.
