LAHORE – The 12th edition of National women karate championship will swing into action from tomorrow, Friday at
Sports Gymnasium hall, Sahiwal.
Pakistan karate federation is organizing the three-day premier women karate activity being participated by galaxy
of female martial art experts, said Andleeb Sindhu, Secretary, PKF here on Thursday.
Teams from all the affiliated units of PKF including Wapda, Army, Police, Railways, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan,
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad will feature in the competition, she said.
Competitions will be held in the following events/weight categories, individual kumite, below 45kgs, below 50 kgs, bellow 61 kgs, below 68 kgs, above 68 kgs besides individual kata, team kata, and team kumite.
“The event is a step forward to further popularize karate among women folk and we are confident to shortlist a group of outstanding players for their grooming on modern lines,” said Andleeb.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal CEO Neha Corporation will grace the occasion as chief guest.
