LAHORE (Staff Report) – Three armed robbers shot a pregnant woman for resisting them during a robbery bid on Sundar Das Road on Wednesday.
Amina Bibi along with her husband Muhammad Noman was traveling in their car in the Zaman Park area when robbers intercepted them, holding them hostage at gunpoint.
The couple put up resistance prompting one of the robbers to open fire and a bullet hit Bibi, fatally injuring her.
She was rushed to the Services Hospital, where she died during treatment while the doctors managed to save the life of the baby after an emergency surgery.
The baby is said to be in critical condition.
The police have registered a case and investigation is in process.
