ATC awards life imprisonment to two accused in Mashal Khan murder case

PESHAWAR – Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Peshawar today awarded life imprisonment to Arif Khan and Asad Katlang in the murder case of Mashal Khan, a student of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

According to the Radio Pakistan, another two accused Sabir Mayar and Izhar were acquitted in the case.

The main accused of the case, Imran Ali has already been awarded twice death sentence.

In April 2017, a mass communication student named Mishal was lynched and then killed over alleged blasphemy following violent demonstrations inside Abdul Wali Khan University.
