Rabi Pirzada triggers controversy with tweet over women wearing Hijab in New Zealand

LAHORE-Pakistani singer, Rabi Pirzada, sparks another controversy after her tweet regarding women in New Zealand wearing headscarves to show compassion towards the victims of the ghastly Christchurch mosque attacks launched by a white supremacist Brenton Tarrant on March 15.

show solidarity with Muslims after the Christchurch shooting.

Attacking Pakistani women’s right to exercise their freedom of wearing a “dupatta,” Rabi’s highly vehement tweet compares them with the Women in New Zealand donning hijab as a symbol of peace to express solidarity with Muslims after the Christchurch shooting.

The 30-year-old singer – who remains a part of every other controversy – recently took to Twitter to post that after seeing women in New Zealand entering mosques wearing headscarves, women across Pakistan headlining anti-dupatta campaigns should die.

Twitter users are infuriated and express great displeasure over Rabi’s reprehensible tweet.
