London University of Law honors Shah Rukh Khan with a doctorate degree

LONDON – The King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has recently received one of the most prestigious awards from a law university in London, UK.

Previously Khan has been facilitated by honorary doctorate by University of Law, London. Earlier he was facilitated by the University of Bedfordshire and the University of Edinburgh. SRK has received the honorary degrees from these prestigious universities in the past for his contribution towards charitable causes.

The Ra-one actor took to his twitter handle and announced the good news to his fans that he was awarded the most prestigious degree and wrote “Thank you for the honour and my best wishes to the graduating students. It will encourage our team at Meer Foundation to strive ‘selfishly’ to share more.”

Khan was awarded for his contribution in the fields of championing human rights, crime reduction and access to justice. He also posted the picture where he is receiving the awarded in front of 350 students approx, he received the degree from the hands of Vice Chancellor and CEO, Professor Andre Nollent.

Upon receiving the honorary degree, SRK shared with media official that “I believe that charity should be done in silence and with dignity. One cannot speak about their charitable acts because it loses its purpose. I have been privileged to be able to use my status as a public personality to champion causes close to my heart”.

Over the years, the actor has lent his support to several charitable causes and NGOs, including the Indian government’s Pulse Polio campaign, the National Aids Control Organization and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. He is also associated with the Meer Foundation, which works with acid attack survivors.
