Jada Pinkett Smith expresses her love for Abida Parveen, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

LAHORE- Pakistan is not only a culturally rich land but also a country of exceptionally talented individuals. Legendary Sufi singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen are names that need no introduction.

The iconic musicians, not only continue to rule over the hearts of Pakistanis but also mesmerize  the international audience with their powerful voices.

Hollywood actor Jada Pinkett Smith took to Instagram to share her appreciation for renowned Pakistani stars Abida Parveen and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Smith posted a video of Abida Parveen ad Rahat Fateh’s Coke Studio song Chaap Tilak on her Instagram and shared: “Abida Parveen and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are two of my favorite vocalists of Sufi music. This song is called Chaap Tilak and you can go on YouTube to check out the lyrics. They are beautiful.”

Not only did she express her profound fondness for Sufi music, Jada also called the two singers her favourite. The Bad Moms star then urged followers to read the song’s lyrics – a poem by Amir Khusro.

Soon after she showed her followers a glimpse of Pakistan’s two vocal powerhouses performing, many people unfamiliar with Amir Khusro’s poem or Urdu language itself also appeared entirely in awe of the two music maestros.
