Tourists are banned inside Jama Masjid after musical videos came to light

LAHORE – Delhi’s Jama Masjid has put up a notice preventing tourists from entering the masjid. Only those who want to prayer will now be allowed inside. The decision came after a Tik-Tok video made inside the premise of Delhi’s Jama Masjid went viral.

The video shows two tourist girls dancing and having a good time inside the masjid. Muslims and non-muslims alike are speaking up against this act. The popular name, Jama Masjid is derived from the word ‘Jummah’, referring to the congregational prayer observed by Muslims on Fridays.

The mosque committee has decided to permit people only for prayers. This hurts the sentiments of Muslims who clearly hold their place of worship at high regard, understandably.

TikTok videos were made inside the masjid also by boys who were clearly just having a good time on Bollywood songs making videos. This is outrageous.

These acts were exposed and people demanded extra security.

The iconic mosque is one of the last monuments built under Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. After the construction of the monument in 1656, it remained the royal mosque of the emperors until the end of the Mughal period.

It is beautiful and truly a sight to see.
