Justice Jawwad Khawaja takes oath as new Chief Justice of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – In a special ceremony, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja takes oath as Chief Justice of Pakistan, which was administered by President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad today.

The appointment has come after the retirement of Justice Nasirul Mulk.

The chief of staff of armed forces, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and federal ministers and judges of the supreme court were also present in the oath taking ceremony.

Justice Khawaja will serve as chief justice for 23 days.
