ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan has finalised a sixteen billion dollars liquefied natural gas (LNG) deal with Qatar for a period of fifteen years, said Minister for Oil and Gas Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
He was talking to newsmen on the sidelines of an Asian ministerial energy roundtable in Doha, Qatar.
Under the agreement, the first shipment is expected to reach Pakistan next month.
The Minister said that under this contract 1.5 million tons of LNG will be imported annually.
