ISLAMABAD – Mobile phone services have been party suspended in several parts of Rawalpindi for security reasons as authorities hold key processions on Eid Miladun Nabi SAW.

Anid major events, City Traffic Police in Rawalpindi chalked out special traffic plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations. The plan involves deploying 454 traffic police officers and wardens, including senior officials, to manage the traffic along the designated routes of two main processions.

Also, over 5,000 police officers will be on security duty, with 2,400 assigned to the main procession and 2,600 to secure other processions.

The authorities have also taken measures to ensure foolproof security, including the installation of walk-through gates, full-body searches for participants, and deployment of snipers on rooftops. Streets and routes along the procession paths will be sealed, and police from all local stations will perform security and patrol duties.

The main procession in Rawalpindi will start from Markazi Jamia Masjid Raja Bazaar at 10am and will be followed by other rallies from different areas. The procession will culminate at Markazi Jamia Mosque at night. In Islamabad, the capital police have also chalked out a security plan for the main procession of Rabiul Awal 12, deploying over 2,000 officials for patrolling and security duties.

The authorities are committed to providing foolproof security to the participants and ensuring that the celebrations take place peacefully.
