Gold registers losses for second consecutive day in Pakistan

KARACHI – Gold prices registered decline for second consecutive day in domestic market of Pakistan on Tuesday amid decreasing global prices.

Data shared by All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association showed the per tola price of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs600 to settle at Rs274,900.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also dropped by Rs515 to Rs235,682.

The price of gold in the international market decreased by $6 to $2,647 from previous day’s closing of $2,653, the association reported.

Meanwhile, the price of per tola and 10-gram silver remained constant at Rs.3,050 and Rs.2,614.88 respectively.

A day earlier, per tola price of 24-karat gold plunged by Rs500 to settle at Rs275,500. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs428 to close at Rs236,197 in local market.
