TEHRAN – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has awarded Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Aerospace Force, with the prestigious Medal of Victory for his role in leading missile strikes on Israel.
In a special ceremony held in Tehran, General Hajizadeh was honored with the medal for overseeing the launch of more than 200 ballistic missiles targeting Israeli sites. The military operation, referred to as “True Promise,” was a part of Iran’s broader defense strategy in the region. The strikes were seen as a demonstration of Iran’s military capabilities in response to escalating tensions.
The Medal of Victory in Iran is a significant honor, symbolizing the courage of warriors and the success of military operations. The medal features three palm leaves, the dome of Khorramshahr Grand Mosque, and the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran, symbolizing strength and victory in battle.
Ayatollah Khamenei’s official website acknowledged the general’s achievements, emphasizing that the award was specifically for his role in leading the missile strikes against Israel, which were viewed as a major victory for the Islamic Republic.
General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, now 62 years old, has been leading the IRGC’s Aerospace Force since its inception in 2009. His leadership has been pivotal in advancing Iran’s missile capabilities, making him a key figure in the country’s defense strategies.
The award underscores Iran’s commitment to its military objectives and signals a strong message of defiance to Israel amidst ongoing regional conflicts.
