Security guards to be appointed in all public parks at Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (Staff Reporter) – Punjab government has ordered district administration to appoint security guards equipped with state-of-the-art arms, installation of walk through gates on entry and exit points, close circuit cameras and deployment of policemen in plain cloth in all 34 public parks of Rawalpindi district.

Theses instruction have been issued in the wake of Lahore public park carnage.

In accordance with this decision 4 to 6 security guards will be deployed on central gates of major public parks. Security has been beefed up in public parks including Jinnah Park, Ayyub park, Race course park, Roomi, Ibne Batoota Park, ladies park, Children park and Nawaz Sharif park.

Orders have been issued for checking all the vehicles through metal detectors. Instructions have been issued that all the small gates be closed down in these parks and only two major gates be kept open for movement of people.
