West Indies crush Pakistan in Record-Breaking Rout to claim ODI series

West Indies Set Pakistan 295 Run Target In Decisive Third Odi

TRINIDAD – The cricketing world witnessed history as West Indies roared back to the top, crushing Pakistan by a staggering 202 runs in the third ODI to clinch their first series victory over the Green Shirts since 1991.

The win not only ended a three-decade hoodoo but also marked the Caribbean side’s most dominant ODI triumph against Pakistan.

Roston Chase was the hero with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 120 in a ruthless display, before Jayden Seales tore through Pakistan’s batting like a hurricane, claiming 6 wickets for just 18 runs – a spell that will be remembered for years.

Pakistan, chasing 295, crumbled under the pressure and could muster only 92 runs in 29.2 overs. Apart from Salman Ali Agha’s 30 and Mohammad Nawaz’s unbeaten 23, the rest of the side surrendered without a fight.

Earlier, West Indies looked in trouble at 184/6 in the 42nd over, but Hope and Justin Greaves launched a late-innings onslaught, adding 110 unbeaten runs in a blaze of boundaries. Hope’s 120 off 94 balls, laced with 10 fours and 5 towering sixes, set the stage for the demolition that followed.
