APHC warns against religious segregation in Kashmir as authorities plan separate residential areas for Pandits

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) says Indian government and its policymakers are playing a dangerous game of dividing Indian-held territory on religious lines to harm the ongoing Kashmiri freedom movement.

According to a statement issued here on Thursday statement in Srinagar, the APHC warned India and its administration in the territory over their plan of setting up separate colonies for Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir Valley.

The APHC also denounced in strong terms the invoking of a draconian law, the Public Safety Act, against Hurriyet leaders and the continued illegal detention of Masarrat Aalam Butt.

It appealed to international human rights organizations to play their role in the release of all Kashmiri detainees.

On the other hand, the Indian Army continued with a massive military operation for the third consecutive  day. The operation was undertaken in Lolab, Kralpora, Dardsun, Rishigund, Guzryal, Warsun, Chowkibal, Zonrishi and Budnumbal areas of Kupwara district.
