MUMBAI – West Indies defeated Zimbabwe by 107 runs in the Super Eight stage of the ICC T20 World Cup.
In the match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to field first against West Indies. Batting first, West Indies posted 254 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
For West Indies, Shimron Hetmyer smashed 84 runs off 34 balls, while Rovman Powell scored 59 off 35 deliveries. Sherfane Rutherford remained unbeaten on 31 runs off 13 balls.
It is worth noting that this is West Indies’ highest total of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 against Zimbabwe.
In reply, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 147 runs. Evans scored 43 runs. Motie picked up four wickets.
