LAHORE – Sam Billings struck an unbeaten 56 to guide Rawalpindiz to a competitive total of 182/8 against Multan Sultans in the 14th match of PSL 11 at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.
After being put in to bat, Rawalpindiz had a shaky start as Yasir Khan fell early, followed by captain Mohammad Rizwan, who managed 19. Kamran Ghulam then steadied the innings with a solid 35 off 24 balls, building small partnerships in the middle overs.
Billings turned the momentum in the death overs with a crucial knock, smashing seven fours and a six in his 34-ball innings. He was well supported by Dian Forrester, who added a quick 24 off just 11 deliveries, including three sixes.
For Multan Sultans, Faisal Akram was the standout bowler with impressive figures of 4/31, while Arafat Minhas picked up two wickets. Peter Siddle and Mohammad Ismail claimed one wicket each.
Rawalpindiz’s late surge helped them post a challenging 183-run target for the Sultans.
