KARACHI – The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the results of the 2026 annual examinations for Class 12 Arts Regular Group.
Announcing the results, BIEK Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho said Inshirah Bint Muhammad Taufiq of Iqra Huffaz Girls Science College, Block B, North Nazimabad, secured first position with 926 marks out of 1,100, earning an A-1 grade.
Aaqib Razaq, son of Abdul Razaq, of Government Degree College Konkar Village Gadap, secured second position with 919 marks and an A-1 grade.
Humaira Bint Muhammad Shakir Lakhani of Iqra Huffaz Girls Science College, Block B, North Nazimabad, stood third with 918 marks, also securing an A-1 grade.
Chairman Lakho said the second position secured by a student of a government degree college reflected the hard work, dedication and guidance of the student, teachers and principal. He added that the strong performance of students from government educational institutions in the intermediate examinations demonstrated that the standard of education in Sindh was continuously improving.
Controller of Examinations Zareena Rashid said 10,459 candidates had registered for the Arts Regular Group examinations, while 10,002 appeared. Of these, 4,526 candidates passed, putting the overall pass percentage at 45.25%.
Among the successful candidates, 20 secured A-1 grade, 274 obtained A grade, 762 B grade, 1,647 C grade, 1,659 D grade and 164 E grade, while two candidates were declared successful under the pass category.
The results have been uploaded to the BIEK website. Candidates can also check their results through the board’s official Android app, available on the Google Play Store by searching for “BIEK”.
