NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday criticized Pakistan for supporting the freedom struggle in Kashmir.
According to Indian media reports, PM Modi while addressing a gathering at New Delhi Red Fort on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day said that people of Pakistani part of Kashmir, Balochistan and Gilgit have allegedly thanked him for raising their issues, while referring to his last week’s speech in which he accused Pakistani army of violations in these areas, without citing what those ‘violations’ actually are.
Indian PM’s remarks about Pakistan’s alleged support of terrorism are ironic in that India, who has no claim on Balochistan whatsoever, has been supporting terrorism in the Pakistani province as proved by the admission of Indian spy, Kulbhusan Yadav, captured well inside Pakistani territory.

He also called on the youth of the Occupied Kashmir to give up the path of armed struggle and join mainstream for their prosperity, saying “You have not achieved anything through violence and extremism.”
On the occasion, the Indian Prime Minister also mentioned a number of development schemes being run by his government, claiming that electoral promises were being realised in India.

He added that our government faced two consecutive bad monsoon season, but still they have managed to bring down the inflation to 6% from 10 percent.
Narendra Modi also urged the common citizens to send their girls to the schools, adding that the women were the real future of India. The government has increased the maternity leave to 26 weeks from 12 weeks, he said.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, while addressing at a ceremony in Islamabad, had dedicated the 70th Independence Day of the country to the Kashmiris struggling against Indian occupation.
“I dedicate this year’s 14th August to the freedom of Kashmir. I dedicate it to those people of Kashmir, who bravely faced the state oppression but kept the spirit of freedom alive,” he said.
