Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 67 runs in Women s World Cup Qualifiers 2017

COLOMBO – Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 67 runs in Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2017 in Colombo on Wednesday.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 227 runs in the allotted 50 overs after the loss ten wickets. Bismah scored 35, Rabiya 34, Ayesha 34.

Bangladesh’s captain Rumana Ahmed grabbed three wickets for 40 runs while Khadija Tul Kubra and Salma Khatun chipped in with two wickets each.

In reply, the women in red and green were under pressure from the start in their reply against a disciplined Pakistan bowling and failed to put on a substantial partnership before being bowled out for 160 in 49.3 overs.

Nigar Sultana top-scored with 41, followed by Sanjida Islam’s 34. Ghulam Fatima grabbed three wickets for 28.
