RAWALPINDI – The Corps Commanders’ Conference unanimously maintained on Thursday that no compromise will be made on the death sentence awarded to Indian spy Kulbushan Yadav.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 201st conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) was presided over by Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa, who was briefed about progress in the Kulbushan’s case.
The high-level dignitries decided that the country’s leadership will make no compromise on the anti-state acts committed by the Indian spy.
The forum also reviewed issues related to national security and recent developments in the region. The military leaders discussed the progress of operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and provision of support to ongoing national housing and population census.
Moreover, Gen Bajwa appreciated the efforts of intelligence agencies and other law enforcers citing the successful execution of wide-spread counter-terrorism operations.
Kulbhusan Sundir Jadhav alias Hussein Mubarak Patel was arrested on March 3, 2016, through a Counter-Intelligence Operation from Mashkel area of Balochistan for his involvement in espionage and sabotage actives in Pakistan.
Jadhav an on-duty officer for the Indian Navy confessed to his crimes in a recorded video statement televised by the ISPR last year following his arrest.
He was awarded the death sentence on Monday.
